Homeopathy for seasonal transitions and immune support
We unfortunately find ourselves knee deep in mucky puddles and breathing heavy wet air.
For some people this can trigger health conditions such as Rheumatism, skin issues like warts and eczema, bowel troubles or commonly respiratory symptoms.
These people have a miasm at work within them that makes them vulnerable to wet weather.
Luckily for the Homeopaths we have remedies that fall under the "aggravated by damp" or "getting wet" rubrics (rubrics are sections in our books that list remedies that are indicated).
One of these I've used recently with a client is:
Natrum Sulphuricum. This remedy is a mineral and is used in people who are acutely affected by damp conditions.
It has an affinity with the Liver causing windy pains, loose sometimes yellow stools and heart burn.
Respiratory effects for these people are worse in damp and at 4/5am, with a wet cough of thick green phlegm. A tendency to growths on the skin may also be present.

As Homeopaths we can offer many different approaches to your health complaint.
We may decide to use a deep Anti-miasmatic remedy to prevent the recurrence of issues like chest symptoms' in the winter months and strengthen your immune response. The choice of remedy depends on your thermal reaction, weak areas, likes and dislikes and temperament to name a few.
We can offer Organopathics' such as tissue salts to support and give nutrients on a cellular level.
Mother tinctures such as Eucalyptus for fever or Chelidonium to support the liver may be given in liquid or tablet form and will often accompany another remedy plan for overall strengthening of the system and improving wellness.
Some remedies may be recommended daily in a low dose or some will be for a few days at a time with gaps between. All the time looking for the response from your body. We then react in kind with watching in awe the improvement's or changing to a new remedy when the time is right.
Consideration of lifestyle, diet and supplementation along with psychological understanding of your life situation and any stressors is also an essential part of a case taking. Without this part of the jigsaw complete, healing will often be temporary or incomplete.
